How can I apply for your services?

Answer: It's easy to get started! Our online application is always available or you can call us at 1-800-687-2405. Our specialists are available to speak to you Monday thru Friday 9 AM- 5PM CST.

Am I eligible to apply for H.I.A. services?

Answer: You must meet the following requirements for Human Interest Agency to review your case.

  1. You must be owed at least $5,000.00 in child support
  2. You must have a signed court order that establishes child support.
  3. You must not be currently receiving cash assistance from the state such as welfare or TANF.

Upon receiving your application, we will review it to determine if Human Interest Agency is a good option for you. Please fill out the application as completely as possible.

How do I get a copy of my Court Order?

Answer: You can get a copy of your court order from the courthouse in the county where your order was established. A copy of the order is usually located either in the district or county clerks office.

Can I still apply even if I have outdated or little information about the noncustodial parent?

Answer: Yes. When completing the application fill in any and all information you have on the noncustodial parent, even if outdated! When Human Interest Agency reviews your case we will make a determination as to whether we at Human Interest Agency can help you.

What if I want to collect from more than one noncustodial parent?

Answer: Just complete an application for each noncustodial parent who owes you child support. H.I.A. will review each case individually.

How long will it take?

Answer: Each case is different. Once your case has been accepted Human Interest Agency will work tirelessly and as quickly as possible to get you the child support you deserve. Remember, collection is never guaranteed.

What will it cost me to get help from Human Interest Agency?

Answer: No upfront fees! If we are unsuccessful you pay nothing. Our fees will be retained from child support payments that H.I.A. collects for you.
